The Union primarily wants to pursue an ambitious space strategy. The digital motor vehicle registration is to become the standard. The goal is a nationwide uniform and uncomplicated concept. In addition, the Christian Democrats want to introduce a digital loft file. It should include all documents around a vehicle.
Another goal of the Union: the expansion of high-performance broadband and mobile phone networks- especially in rural areas. The fiber optic technology should make the networks future -proof.

The CDU/CSU is committed to the car and automotive industry in its election program. Specifically, the Union wants to reverse the combustion engine. With a view to electromobility, the charging infrastructure should be appropriate

In their election program, the Christian Democrats primarily focus on emissions trading. Although studies are now coming to the conclusion that the trade in CO2 certificates is hardly useful to the climate, the Union sees it as the “right instrument to efficiently limit the amount of emission and thus protect the climate as best as possible.”
