Trend has increased significantly

Accordingly, companies are increasingly looking for managers with cognitive and interpersonal skills. On the other hand, routine tasks such as scheduling, forecasts and budgeting are declining.

The effect is stronger for the later period of the sample, which indicates that companies with the maturation of AI systems are increasingly looking for managers that can find their way around AI-controlled environments.

The researchers have been able to observe this trend in particular in the past seven years. The demand for managers with AI skills in 2010 was still zero. By 2022, it rose to 0.6 percent of all management positions.
